International symposium on 28 and 29 March 2023 in Aachen

The IKV – Institute for Plastics Processing in Industry and Craft at RWTH Aachen University invites you to the international symposium “Polyurethanes – Trends in PU-Processing” in Aachen on 28-29 March 2023. As at the successful PU symposia in 2019 and 2021, experts from industry and research will make well-founded contributions to developments and challenges in the PU sector and discuss their presentations together with the participants.

This year’s conference will address highly topical developments such as increasing digitalisation, plastics recycling and efforts towards greater sustainability and place them in the context of the PUR market. The conference will be chaired by Michel Baumgartner, Secretary General of EUROPUR AISBL, the European association of manufacturers of flexible polyurethane foam blocks, and EURO-MOULDERS, the European association of manufacturers of moulded polyurethane parts for the automotive industry.

At the symposium, IKV will focus on topics in the areas of digitalisation and data-based process monitoring, environmentally compatible materials, additives and sustainable applications, recycling of PU as well as in basic research. Participants can expect a wide range of specialist presentations with talks from Acmos Chemie KG, Albrecht Bäumer GmbH & Co. KG, CANNON Deutschland GmbH, Covestro AG, Evonik Operations GmbH, Fecken-Kirfel GmbH & Co. KG, KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH, PU Europe, RAMPF Eco Solutions GmbH & Co. KG, Recticel Engineered Foams, and SimpaTec GmbH.

The conference is for engineers, technical managers for development, production and sales in polyurethane processing, material production and plant engineering, planners of PU series processes and the associated quality assurance, as well as researchers.
