In the show “Die Höhle der Löwen” (“The Lion’s Den”), companies with extraordinary ideas get the chance for business success. In April 2020, it was Hannes Mirow from Rostock who succeeded in convincing the jury with his company Panthergrip and a very special product: the world’s first absolutely non-slip shin guard. It holds on all by itself – without tape, Velcro or gauze bandages. The strong adhesion is caused by thousands of micro-teeth, which stick to the fabric of the shin guards like needle points. The plastic padding on the shin guards is a different story.
