PV Production Forum 2010 organised by EU PVSEC and IPVEA, 7th September 2010, Valencia, Spain The European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC) and the International Photovoltaic Equipment Association (IPVEA) will present the ‘PV Production Forum 2010' for photovoltaic manufacturing technologies at the 25th EU PVSEC and 5th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (WCPEC-5) on 7th September 2010 in Valencia, Spain. The programme of the PV Production Forum 2010, an educational workshop in PV production technology, will feature presentations on several topics including silicon and thin-film production, which will be led by IPVEA members and other industry experts. The PV Production Forum 2010 will provide an essential opportunity for networking across all segments of the PV production industry along with informing its participants about the changing dynamics, technologies and developments in the PV manufacturing supply chain. This forum addresses best practices and case studies that can assist PV production management, purchasing staff, and product managers how to increase throughput, efficiency, and save money in their production fabs. Heinz Ehmann, EU PVSEC Head of Communications: "The PV Production Forum 2010 compliments our high-ranking scientific conference on photovoltaics by adding insights from a production oriented point of view. Establishing the PV Production Forum as an integral part of the EU PVSEC reconfirms the fact that the combination of the world's leading PV solar conference and a premium international PV solar trade show meets the expectations of the global PV communities. We are looking forward to the start of this new forum."
The 25th EU PVSEC will be also the 5th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion. This joint event of the global PV communities will take place in Valencia, Spain, from 6th - 10th September 2010 (Conference: 6th - 10th September 2010 - Exhibition: 6th - 9th September 2010). It will unite the 25th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition, the 36th US IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference and the 20th Asia/Pacific PV Science and Engineering Conference.
Call for candidates for the AVK innovation award 2010 The AVK - Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe e.V. (Federation of Reinforced Plastics) is now requesting nominations for this year's annual AVK innovation awards in the categories ‘industrial applications', ‘environment' and ‘university research'. The objective of the innovation awards is to provide solutions to state-of-the-art technological issues by means of reinforced plastics and thermosets, to highlight the achievements of our industry in the field of environmental protection and to encourage university research into reinforced plastics and thermosets. Not least, it is hoped that these innovation awards will serve as a source of motivation for specialists active in these fields. The awards will be presented at the International AVK Conference on September 13th - 14th, 2010, to be held in the Congress Center Essen, in conjunction with the COMPOSITES EUROPE Trade Fair (September 13th - 14th, 2010). Applications for the 2010 innovation awards may be submitted in the following categories: - Industrial applications - Environment - University research The deadline for the submission of the application papers is March 31st, 2010. Further details and objectives may be obtained under: www.avk-tv.de/innovationaward.php.
Topic marine: Be informed with COMPOSITES EUROPE Thanks to fibre-reinforced plastics, the building of boats and yachts has reached a standard that seemed to be impossible a couple of years ago. The trade fair BOOT 2010 in Düsseldorf, Germany, could also profit from this development: Industry figures experienced that composites are high performance materials and make boats not only lighter and faster but even unsinkable in some cases. Germany is the leading European builder of boats and also the leader in the modern composites construction sector. The 5th COMPOSITES EUROPE will be the meeting point for the composites industry from 14th - 16th September 2010 in Essen, Germany. Three days new methods in handling and processing composite materials in the boat building sector will be exhibited. Every sixth visitor (18 per cent) of COMPOSITES EUROPE 2009 came from the boat building sector. Whether glass, carbon or polyester fibre reinforced plastics, sprayed fibres, mats or fabrics, core materials and prepregs: COMPOSITES EUROPE offers a vast overview of materials and processing methods to the whole industry.
