AVK Conference 2010 - Call for papers

The AVK - Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe e.V. (Federation of Reinforced Plastics) invites you to submit presentations for the International AVK Conference for Reinforced Plastics / Composites taking place from the 13th to 14th September 2010 at the Congress Center Ost, Messe Essen, Germany. These presentations are to document innovations in the area of reinforced plastics.

As in the years before, the AVK Conference is being organised in conjunction with the COMPOSITES EUROPE Trade Fair (14^th to 16^th September 2010). The ALUMINIUM - the aluminium industry's leading world trade fair - is to be held simultaneously.

Presentations ought to focus primarily on the following sectors:

- Automotive and transport

- Aerospace

- Construction

- Mechanical engineering

- Plant engineering and construction

- Electrical / Electronics

- Medical technology

- Boat and shipbuilding

- Power generation and power engineering

- Sports and recreation

- Environmental technology

For the first time, the 2010 "Mittelstandsforum" (for small and medium-sized businesses) is to focus on topics in conjunction with small and medium-sized plastics processors. The practically oriented presentations may concern, for instance, the following subject areas:

- Market development

- Applications

- Construction / Testing / Calculation

- Processes

- Sustainability

- Raw materials (reactive resins, thermoplastics, fibres, semi finished articles)
