Only people who don't work don't make mistakes...
... and we always work hard. So occasionally, despite 4 people proof reading an issue before going to print, we can still miss a big error.
We must therefore apologize to REPI S.P.A. - on page 15 of our May issue somehow the "R" in the headliner disappeared.
The devil is in the detail! Before summer really gets started, I'd like to take the opportunity to tell you about an event in Germany (details can be found in our events calendar), taking place for the 3rd time on the 16th and 17th September.
6 years ago, a PU elastomer processor and I were sitting together, drinking coffee and brain storming about what could be done for this very special industry. There are a lot of foam associations working on polyurethane matters but anyone who really knows PU elastomers, also knows that foam and cast systems have little in common besides chemistry. Consequently, we decided to set up a Trade Meeting for PU Elastomers. As neither of us possessed the necessary skills to organise events, I discussed the idea with KuZ (Kunststoff Zentrum Leipzig, Germany) and the right partner was found. Until now the meeting has been held in German but today everybody is thinking "global" or "international" (both are not my favourite words) and I thought why not invite companies from the whole of Europe (given a certain number of participants, simultaneous translation into English would be easy)? Do similar events already take place in France, Italy, Spain, UK (or any other European Countries)? Wouldn't it be interesting to share information and experiences? Interested? I'm open to discuss all your ideas!
For now I wish you a pleasant summer time.
